UK Cilia Network
The UK Cilia Network brings together researchers and clinicians working on structure and function of motile and primary cilia and centrosomes. This informal multidisciplinary group aims to foster collaboration and sharing of expertise in order to further understanding of these organelles and their role in development, ageing, health and disease. The network currently has over 250 members from more than 30 UK academic institutions.
Cilia AI
Cilia-AI is a European research and training consortium bringing together academic, industrial, and non-profit partners to advance the understanding of cilia and ciliopathies through interdisciplinary research. By combining expertise in molecular biology, genetics, advanced imaging, and artificial intelligence, the consortium aims to uncover how genetic variation affects cilia function and disease. Leveraging cutting-edge technologies and machine learning, Cilia-AI trains the next generation of researchers while driving innovation in biomedical research and precision medicine.
Ciliopathy Alliance
The Ciliopathy Alliance is an international charity that brings together patient organizations, researchers, clinicians, and healthcare professionals to improve the lives of people affected by ciliopathies. The Alliance promotes collaboration, raises awareness, supports research, and facilitates the exchange of knowledge across the global ciliopathy community. By connecting patients, scientists, and healthcare providers, it aims to accelerate advances in diagnosis, treatment, and care for individuals living with these rare genetic disorders.
